AI is reshaping our workplaces and daily lives faster than most of us ever anticipated. While many people are jumping on board and trying out AI tools—around 75% of employees, in fact—others are understandably hesitant. A big part of this apprehension comes from the fear that AI might make their jobs obsolete.
This fear isn’t unfounded. The World Economic Forum estimates that by the end of this year, AI and robotics could eliminate around 85 million jobs. Meanwhile, a study by Goldman Sachs predicts that by 2030, AI could potentially replace the equivalent of about 300 million full-time jobs. However, there’s also a silver lining: it’s expected that AI will create around 97 million new jobs in fields like AI development, data science, and roles that involve working alongside AI.
